Salman Khan will take the stage on February 16 at the Yash Raj Studios to host the event

Superstar Salman Khan will host the 8th edition of Renault Star Guild Awards in perhaps his first stint at hosting an award ceremony.

The 47-year-old will take the stage on February 16 at the Yash Raj Studios to host the event, which commemorates extraordinary achievements in cinema and television.

Some of the famous names from showbiz are expected to attend the event.

It is a joint initiative by the Film and Television Producers Guild and the Wizcraft International Entertainment.

Mumbai: Vivek Oberoi and his wife Priyanka have become proud parents of a boy.

"Today is the most special day of my life! Priyanka and I welcomed our little angel into our world, a beautiful, healthy, divine baby boy," Vivek tweeted on Wednesday.

"I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all the love, blessings, prayers and aashirwaad (blessings) you have sent us! Our son is truly blessed," he added.

Vivek, son of actor Suresh Oberoi, married Priyanka Alva, daughter of late Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva, in 2010.

The Bollywood fraternity too sent their best wishes to the couple through Twitter.

"Congratulations Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka, I am sure its the most special day ever, can`t wait to see the little one. Big hugg," posted actress Genelia D`Souza.

Her husband, actor Riteish Deshmukh posted: "Vivek Oberoi congratulationssssssssssss brother- love to Priyanka and the entire family."

Abbas-Mustan's action thriller "Race 2" has raked in Rs.79.6 crore net in its opening week at the domestic box-office. The film is also minting money in the overseas market.

Co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films, "Race 2" had earned Rs.51.35 crore over first weekend. 

In the following days, film earned Rs.7.5 crore Monday, Rs.6.5 crore Tuesday, Rs.5.75 crore Wednesday, Rs.5 crore Thursday and Rs.3.5 crore Friday.

The first-week total on the domestic box office sums up to Rs.79.6 crore, while in the international market, "Race 2" grossed over $4.25 million in its opening week.

Made for Rs.60 crore, the film features an ensemble cast of Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqeline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor and Ameesha Patel.
